December 22, 2015 by Jeff Lowen
Here it is, 2015 is coming to a close. The fact that “time flies,” or “I can’t believe it’s gonna be 2106 already…” rolls off our tongues this time of year is all masked by the wonderful season of family, friends, good food and gratitude. Rightfully so, and reminds me of an article I wrote for a university class once upon a time entitled, “Everyday is Christmas.”
We live in diverse world and celebrating one holiday over another, or dismissing another’s beliefs is short sighted and does not have a place in my world. This December, there are celebrations of Christmas and Hanukkah, including spiritually significant days for Muslims, Buddhists, Pagans and Zoroastrians. I’m sure there are a few followers of Festivus as well.
Regardless of your plans, this wonderful time of year is all about gratitude. Honor that, and you’re sure to have a beautiful and fulfilling finish to 2015 and start of 2016.
My wish for you is that you, your family and circle of friends enjoy, appreciate and share with transparency the love and care that makes us who we are.
May the season shine light upon your face and warm your heart with what’s truly important in your life.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of it.
